Dear Friends and all who love our wonderful Lord,

Hot prayer item:  Evangelist Tre Faulkner [Pictured right in Arusha yesterday with his 3 month bride Kristen!] is with us right now and we are having a wonderful time in the Tanzania mining town of Merurani. 4000 or more were there yesterday [top photo] and many found Christ and were healed last night. The place NEEDS a touch of God- with an estimated 70% HIV infection in the town area people know they have only one hope- that is in Christs salvation gift for us all. Pray with us as Tre works with Lyimo until Sunday 28th Nov 'bringing in the harvest' that is very ripe over here.

Lyimo, Lyndall and I had a great time in Leshoto with 50 leaders in the 'baby' stage of starting to work together in the church. They are strong in prayer and desiring God to move.... but there many doubters and problems to sort out as you can imagine in our work of building the churches together. But God is at work in a special way and He is bringing together those that have a heart and an ear to hear what He is saying today so we are very encouraged.

In Katesh, you can see [Below right] Gidoris Catholic grandfather 'going for it' with a Pentecostal pastor and Lutheran pastor ..... sharing how God was teaching them how to love with Christs love. It is not every day that this happens but we sure saw God move in that place. True unity HAS to be based on the love of Christ in our hearts ..... otherwise it will never work. But we are starting to see Jesus prayer in John 17 starting to be fulfilled.
In March 2005 we will be having a strong discipleship thrust when we call key leaders in from the areas we are currently
doing our leadership seminars. For instance at left you see Perimeters Chip Jones building foundations in discipleship in Katesh. From those 300 leaders, 6 will be taken to Arusha for intensive discipleship training along with key leaders from other areas. When those people return to their villages, they will have a discipleship group of their own and mentor at least 10 other pastors to help them build strong discipleship in their own churches. I believe its going to have a great impact and we really thank the Perimeter team for working with us on this one. It is a great area of need in the church here and I believe we will see long lasting fruit from it in strengthening the Church. [Whoever would want to see Rwanda again?]

FINALLY! This might be my last update before Christmas..... so God bless you over this season as we remember Gods Love for us again to us in sending the BEST present anyone could give!

Pray with us:

  • Thanks for a wonderful year and for protection and enabling us to do all we have accomplished this year.

  • Thanks for provision for Bupe from WA - he is our administrator and is learning to oversee the Mercy project in Likamba

  • Thanks for provision from US for Heff. He is Godsaves new assistant to help with the other mercy projects we have starting at Kondoa and Mairoa and ongoing Karanse. Pray for Godsave!

  • Winnie- a little 11 year old girl with AIDS that Lyndall and Esther have been looking after- she could die anytime short of a miracle.

  • Our two girls Sharon & Kirsty will be with us in a weeks time- pray for a relaxing time with them when they are here. Pray for Josh back home on his own :-(

  • Imara- we have grown and are still growing rapidly. Pray for wisdom, right people, God chosen ministry- not our own- all things that would help us be effective for the Lord here in Tanzania.

Blessings upon you,

Mike & Lyndall and the Imara Team

PS West Australia trip Feb/March: Lyndall is now coming with me to WA. We will be there at Country Rising in Mount Barker and look forward to seeing our WA South West friends there.  We will be spending time with our families while we are back so won't get to see too many church groups.  However there is a special missions time being planned by Peter Hack at Cornerstone on the 12th March so, if you would like to see us [we hope so!] maybe we can meet up with you there.
