Dear Friends, Saints and all who love our wonderful Lord,

I watched “The Passion” for the first time a few nights ago – what a sacrifice of love our God has made for us….  Just so we can be with Him if we choose! It made any sacrifice we think we go through seem totally insignificant. My heart is filled with thanksgiving for His love for us all!

Well this is going to be short and sweet. So much going on here that it is impossible to tell it all but here is a little of it.....

I could not resist this one! Yesterday, Mike Fewson and team are here teaching APPF how to play Lego !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually it was an object lesson on how the gifts of the apostolic and prophetic ministry are sent to build the church together under the leading of the Holy Spirit!

We had a great teaching on that level from Randy and Carol Pope recently when they were with the leaders of Karatu [see testimony]. How the body of Christ needs faithful men and women of God to build and encourage His people! They also travelled to Karanse and visited with their Compassion sponsor child there at Karanse.

It was great to have Jerry and Judy Kaye back on the scene again [with 'adopted son’ Ezra]. Jerry has just finished a stint in Iraq dodging bombs and shrapnel and helping setup infrastructure. Pray with them as he gets back into things in the US because they sacrificed a lot in going over there. Thanks for your sacrifice in coming over here at this time Jerry- we really appreciated you sharpening us again!

Lyndall and Esther continue with the AIDS ministry [see below] and are heading up to ‘train trainers” early next year. [In fact Esther is doing an incredible job in the villages.] You could pray with us on that one because we need to get the right people to do the job. Often people are trained but they don’t go and train afterwards!! Kind of defeats the purpose if that important step is missed out! The villages desperately need input with around 20% estimated HIV positive in this Arusha area.

We were invited to South Africa last week looking at AIDS work down there. [they have a 30% problem] We were with this dear Grandmother who was looking after her dead children's children and now is HIV positive herself. A generation is dying, mostly way younger than her, without any hope. How they need to hear about the grace of our Lord! We need people to gather in the harvest in Africa! [She is born again and has hope in her heart of being with the Lord where normally there would be none.]

While there we met up with Louis Blom and others from Judea Harvest ministry.  They help groups of 10-15 pastors get use of a 300 seater tent to help in evangelism in the area. But if they get a tent, they MUST teach on AIDS in the villages and discipleship in the churches. I think it was a providential meeting because if a partnership takes place, their ministry could well help facilitate four of our ministry aims of unity building, AIDS awareness, discipleship in the churches and of course village evangelism and church planting. This way the local AIDS  Trained Trainers WILL teach I believe. I must admit I feel excited about the possibilities for all the groups of pastors we work with and we were blessed with the hearts of the guys at Judea Harvest in SA. Another prayer point for you- let His will be done as we communicate together more beginning of November.

While I am on Judea Harvest- Louis Blom put out the challenge to our US friends that Africa is RIPE  for the harvest. But as Jesus said - labourers are few. Thanks for helping us here as you are - but there is so much more to do! We don't want to see the harvest rot on the tree! Charles Slack from our MissionOz board said of us ... 'Mike every dollar we put into you guys produces a lot of fruit ..... and what you need is more dollars and you can produce more!' Join us in the harvest with the dollars and with the prayers. It is truly Africa's time but who knows how long for- the time WILL pass for sure. . I heard today that Rick Joiner prophesied there would be many ships go from Oz to Africa. Ships are leaders coming here carrying whatever the ship has. Join us in the harvest in whatever way you can!!

Likamba is going well and Pauline and Margie will be out there on Monday visiting the place with Bupe. Thanks to all the folks down south who have got behind the widows and orphans there! It is amazing how much has been released there while Pauline has been here. I think we are at 3 widows houses and water tanks from single Mums in Oz- bless you for your sacrifice!! Reminds me of the widows mite! I still can't believe it actually. And water tanks going in as well.

Finally we have another area opening up in Kondoa south of Arusha and here you can see the interest in the plane when we were about to leave the place with Fred and Frank who flew us down there. Pray for this area since we will be working with the leadership there and establishing a Christian school.

Final final prayer request- Sharon and Kirsty coming over here in November means Josh will be in Oz by himself. It will bring a problem for place of living for the kids since Sharon will be studying here for one term next year. Not sure what the answer is but it will work out!

I will be back in Australia for three weeks in March and some of you will get to meet Gidori [on right] first hand- he is being sponsored by Living Way to come and join us at Country Rising in the southwest of WAustralia in March. He is understandably excited about it!!

Blessings and love to you all. Thanks for remembering Lyndall and I here.

Lyndalls news from their patient visitation.....

Visiting the HIV+

Eva is a 37 year old woman.  Esther Lyimo went to Primary school with her.  She has been deserted by her husband.  She has three children, Mike ( 12), Winnie (10) and Immanuel ( 8 months).

Both Eva and Winnie are HIV+.  Eva had a stroke but has improved since we started to visit her in May.  We provided her with food and milk this month.  At the end of May we arranged for Immanuel to be cared for at the Cradle of Love Baby Home, as his mother and relatives could not care for him.  He is doing well there.

Winnie has been very sick.  She has 2 aunts ( Eva’s 2 sisters) and an uncle ( married to one of these aunts) who look after her.  On Sunday 22nd she was very sick and was taken to a local hospital, but they told her to go home that same day.  On Monday 23rd, her aunt Veronika came to our office and Esther and I went and I drove them to Selian Hospital.  Winnie was having convulsions and her uncle had to carry her.  She was crying out that morning, “ I am going to die without seeing Mama Joshua ( Lyndall is Mama Joshua).  Also she was wondering what she had done wrong to suffer so much.  We assured her that Jesus loves her. Her uncle had to carry her to the car ( my little Suzuki).

Winnie was admitted with meningitis and malaria. Her aunt Judith stayed at the hospital and looked after her as every person must be attended by a relative.

Apparently Winnie’s  father has had many different women and now after abandoning his family is living with another woman.  Eva’s sisters are doing their best to help as is the African tradition, but is difficult for them as they both have families of their own.  The 12 year old son, Mike often cleans the house before he goes to school.

On Tuesday the 31st I drove to the hospital and after several hours we brought Winnie home.  It was a blessing to see that Winnie was her bright and cheerful self again.

Please pray for this family and for the many others who are in similar or worse conditions. [Return]

Testimony from Karatu.......

Bishop Richard Banga Bayo is teaching about the subject of SEASON. Quoting in the book of Ecc. 3:1“For everything there is a season and time for very purpose under heaven”

The Church has to remember the HISTORY of the earth. I am really amazed with what God ids doing in this generation. Myself I am proud of my denomination and I mind very much the Government of my denomination. I wonder how I found myself interested in this kind of interdenominational Seminars that is not common in our country. God is doing something; let us go His way these things even the angels in heaven are eager looking at it. [Return]
