Visiting

We saw miracles of healing power to the people suffering with AIDS. Some of them are recovering very well since we started visiting and praying together. I thank God for Perimeter team especially Carolyn’s and Vicki’s teams who visited, encouraged and prayed with Eva’s family. Eva, Winnie, Lyndall and I, we appreciate your love. One patient explained to me saying, “It is not easy to explain to you, I know it myself, thanks and God bless you.”

Eva and her daughter Winnie are doing very well since Lyndall and I started to visit them and to encourage them by giving them some food and praying for them, God is doing a new thing in their lives. Now Eva can walk and sing and pray by herself. We thank God for all that He has done.

We visited Karanse to help. We assisted a Community Health Evangelism team to do a health screening in one school and God helped us to screen more than 100 students. I taught students about how HIV/AIDS is passed from one person to another. I realized that most of the students didn’t know how HIV/AIDS is transmitted from one person to another.

I thank nurses from family team for helping us to do that exercise. It helps to know the main problems children have.

MOIVARO YOUTH SEMINAR

Youth are mostly at  risk  from HIV/AIDS. They had many questions and we tried to answer them biblically. Some of the questions were tricky. One of them asked, “I heard that, if

Lyndall is teaching about transmission in Youth seminar – Moivaro, Arusha.

I abstain from sexual relationships it is difficult to bear a child, is it true or not? Such questions like that.

It was so good for them to know the truth of AIDS. They knew only two ways of transmission ( through sexual intercourse and blood transfusion).   It was good that we  could teach them more  ways of transmission.

After the seminar some of the youths came out to ask us if we could visit more youths in their areas.

We had a good time with drama and songs. It was a very exciting time to watch the drama. It helps to get their attention and focus on the message.

The youth are enjoying the presence of the Holy Spirit during the Youth seminar in Moivaro.

BAPTIST UNIVERSITY

We had an opportunity to teach at the Baptist University, which is located at about 8 km from Arusha town. off Arusha –Nairobi road.

They kept quiet listening to Lyndall teaching about HIV/AIDS. After all the teaching they had some questions. I thank God because some of them came to the office asking for more books and materials to make flannel graph and a board. One of the students came after 2 days and the second one after one week. They told me that; “ I like the way Lyndall has presented the teaching by using flannel graph and umbrella. I felt like somebody was pushing me from where I am to the front. Can I have some notes please so that when I finish my study I can teach my people in the village?”

WIDOW’s SEMINAR AND CHE. CHE means Community Health Evangelism

We had a wonderful time with the  widows and orphans in Karanse teaching about AIDS and screening primary school children. Some widows cried after teaching. I think because some of the widows had signs and symptoms we taught. Also their husbands died with all signs and symptoms we mentioned. We prayed for the sick and also we had a time to counsel and pray with those who had bitterness towards their husbands, they were set free from those bondages, Praise the Lord..

Lyndall is happy to do CHE ministry. She is recording the results of Hb, stool and urine tests.

During screening I talked to children above 10 years old about HIV/AIDS. Some of them

said, “I heard  about it once.”, and some of them have never heard before. I took more time to talk with the  girls about how their bodies change, and how AIDS could pass from one person to another. I told them how Jesus loves children. I realized that most of them don’t know about their body hygiene also the change that happens in their bodies.
