Hi from Dongabesh and Hydom!

I am with Gidori, Paul and Pendaeli and our guests Edna, Margie and Ros from Perth. It has been a privilege to share with the leaders from the Barabaigic [lady left] and Irak tribes… Though they have some problems. Long hair on women is a hassle in one church! Its causing division…. It just reinforces to us the peoples need to be strengthened from Gods word. It reminds me again of Jesus' last words to us just before He left HIS disciples… for us to make MORE disciples!

He wants people who will be strong in knowing Father God for what He REALLY needs from us. He needs a people that will NOT be blown around by the stuff that is sent to distract us from our real job …… of reflecting Gods love and incredible grace to folks around us in our everyday lives.

Pray that we will help the leaders to lead their people to  know God in reality.

AIDS work:
Lyndall was with us two weeks ago in Pangani and Muheza. She was sick with a lousy flu we both got, but the people REALLY appreciated her AIDS teaching there and asked her to come back. They said their churches had never had AIDS teaching before. So I guess we will be returning to Pangani!

Our HIV/AIDS volunteer health workers are doing a great job in their villages with the limited resources they have. Here's a little of what Godsave saw at Mwika recently:

Widows (both affected and infected with HIV) and the fatherless boys came to have their lunch. All the boys lived with Mama Mrina’s family since they were children.

The Village Health Workers, who were recently trained by Imara, have been working hard to visit, pray and do home based care services.. They have been a great help to Mama Mrina. They just came from home visitations and are here taking lunch with the orphanage children at Mama Mrina's home. I had an opportunity to talk with them and encourage them that their labour will not be in vain because they are serving the awesome God.

While we are on Mwika, MissionOz Imara have been working really hard to help Mwika. We now have funds for two classrooms for kids affected by AIDS which we will build soon. But there is a piece of flat land that has come available on the top of the hill next to the hilly land we already have. We are hoping to be able to purchase that additional acre before we decide where to build.

Also we are really thankful to both Perimeter and SBC for helping with food  this next 10 months for the children, but we are hoping to see doors for this kind of need from Australia after that runs out.  Contact Roger in NSW rellem@aapt.net.au or Phil in WA pcmcwilliams@westnet.com.au if you are interested. [We have Australian tax free status for donations now for Aid projects.]

Stanley and Evangelism work:
You have heard little of our evangelism work lately. [Stanley does not know English and finds it hard to report] But its still going on! Stanley, Pendaeli and Elirehema and others show film and share the gospel in open air meetings every month. Here is Stanleys report of one of their latest adventures:

Evangelism department is working hard to win soul for Christ Jesus. An open air meeting was done at a village named Kikwe headed by evangelism team from Imara

Stanley leading praise and worship at Kikwe village.  People pay attention to the word of God

Film show is part of open air meeting, when it comes to film show the number of people add up especially youth as well as children are first most to be excited, many people do receive Jesus as their personal saviour after cinema.

Learning by experience........

Godfrey, pictured left, is the headmaster at Karanse School. He is a very dedicated man who, along with his teachers, is serving the children of Karanse They are so dedicated they were the top school in their district last year. We asked Godfrey, and Pastor Warrieli, to share their experience with the leaders of a new school starting next year at Mairowa. As new schools, widows and orphans work come to us, we are able to draw on experience we have gained in our current work.

World Travellers!
Talking of Gidori and making strong Christians, we were really happy that he,
Jones and the Very Reverend Bishop [!] Daffa :) [pictured here with Pastor Randy Pope] were blessed to learn more of what Perimeter at Atlanta are doing towards this end and then to be able to travel across to Arizona to be learn what is happening around the world with Disciple Nations Alliance work. These guys love the Lord and His people here and are pouring out their lives to strengthen Gods people in this land. Pray for them!

Stop Press - Discipleship "3" really encouraging!
Well its now 2 weeks since I started this news update.... we have just finished the 3rd discipleship mentoring session together with with Dennis and his team. They mentored around 100 key leaders discipleship. It was a wonderful time ! The enthusiasm and testimonies from the pastors and women's leaders was SO encouraging:

Pastor Samuel said: "I did not know how to teach people and did not know what to do. I started working with 6 and they are humble now! I am really happy. They thought it was some new religion and were resistant at first. Now they want more!" [These are his leaders]

Daudi said: "I have seen working with my people like this breaks pride and builds unity. Foot washing was hard! But it worked well in the church. I am ashamed of the shallow teaching we have brought in the past."

I know we are going to see great fruit for the church and the nation come from this work. As you will have heard me say before, there are many wonderful evangelists here, but few that disciple their people well to build strong character. I believe we are going to see that change to affect the nation!! Thanks again Perimeter for standing with us and Tanzania.
[These two pictures are some of the pastors going to serve chai [tea] to some of the ladies. One lady leader said 'this is a miracle-!!'  She could not believe men could serve women]
